Once settled into the new office in the town centre, Trade continued to deliver support and advice, engagement, fun and laughter through their services and a variety of events over the year.
Following on from Pride we received several volunteer applications and counselling requests proving the great community interest in our charity.
We continue to develop good working partnerships with a wide range of organisations and LGBT associations in Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and beyond.
Trade supported a variety of campaignes to promote HIV prevention and awareness, testing and sexual health awareness. This included National HIV Testing Week, when Trade opened its clinic everyday for Kwik Prick Rapid HIV Testing, with great support of professionally trained volunteers.
the "Visual AIDS at Trade" event attracted many guests who decided to join Trade in celebrating World AIDS Day in an interactive way.We have always aimed to break down barriers to accessing health services, reduce isolation, stigma and discrimination, and encourage or enable LGB&T people from diverse backgrounds to share in the life of the whole community ... Success has also been measured in awards. 2015 saw us crowned a regional charity winner by Lloyds Bank Foundation for "Championing change"!
