Domestic and Sexual Abuse & Violence

If you are, or have experience domestic abuse or sexual violence, there are local services available who have specially trained staff to talk with you confidentially and offer guidance and support tailored to your needs

United Against Violence & Abuse (UAVA)

UAVA Ltd stands for United Against Violence and Abuse and are a consortium of three local specialist providers of domestic abuse and sexual violence services, which consist of FreeVA, Living Without Abuse and Women's Aid Leicestershire

They provide support across Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland for anyone who is a victim of domestic abuse or sexual violence and offer a variety of services including crisis intervention, outreach and counselling. Get in contact to find out more.

Juniper Lodge - Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC)

Provides a comprehensive service for anyone aged 13 and over living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland who have been raped or sexually assaulted either recently or at any time in the past, regardless of gender or gender identity.

Provides a confidential rape crisis helpline and support for girls and women aged 14+ affected by sexual violence, either recently or in the past.

Galop - LGBT+ anti-violence charity

Emotional and practical support for LGBT people experiencing domestic abuse. Abuse isn’t always physical- it can be psychological, emotional, financial and sexual too. Speak out, don’t suffer in silence.

Victim First is a free, independent and confidential service supporting victims and witnesses of crime and anti-social behaviour across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Our priority is to ensure you are given the support needed to help you cope and recover. Whether or not the crime has been reported, and regardless of when it happened, we have a team of experienced and professional caseworkers to help you in your journey of recovery.
