This year Emery Johnson Astills solicitors and Leicester Pride joined forces to create the Unsung Hero Award. It's intention is to recognise, award and thank those that are heavily involved in the local LGB&T communities, in one way or another.
"Our main goal has alwasy been to promote diversity, advance education and to eliminate discrimination. The benefits of Leicester Pride, as well as the 'Unsung Hero Award', is to raise awareness of both the issues affecting the LGB&T commnuities and to recognise the people that work tirelessly to better the lives of Leicestershire's LGB&T communities and their partners", states Martyn Parker, Chairman of Leicester Pride.
We're delighted to say that not only were Trade nominated, but have been shortlisted for the award! The final will take place at the Leicester Pride Ball on 28th August, where the winners will be announced. Fingers crossed.
