New Year News

Thursday, 17th December 2015

Trade likes new challenges and that is why our calendar for the next year is already booked with new services and initiatives to support our local LGB&T community in Leicester Leicestershire and Rutland.

We are starting the year with a new. Full Sexual Health Screening Clinic dedicated to the lesbian, bisexual gay and trans communities.  The clinic will be based at Trade’s informal and central location and in partnership with Leicester Sexual Health Services. This drop in clinic will be open every Friday 11am- 2pm from 8th January 2016.

Trade will also introduce a Sauna Online Assesment Project which aims to maximise health promotion in men's saunas and increase levels of sexual health awareness amongst sauna staff and managers.
Trade's ongoing partnership with Leicester universities means engagment in a variety of research project such as a study of PrEP awareness amongst men having sex with men.

Trade will continue to offer a range of free and confidential support and advice services around sexual health and HIV information; one-to-one emotional and practical support; support in 'coming out', sexuality and relationships; rapid HIV testing; community based men’s sexual health clinics; safer-sex packs for men and women; and a fully qualified counseling service.
