PEP
If you need to access post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) over Christmas and New Year, this can be accessed 24 hours a day from Leicester Royal Infirmary's Accident and Emergency Department.
Safer sex packs
Our safer sex packs will be available from all of Leicester's LGB&T bars over the festive period. They will have an ample stock to keep them going. If you don't see any, please ask a member of staff.
One-to-one emotional support
The London-based Switchboard LGBT+ helpline is open every day from 10am-10pm (including over the Christmas and New Year period) to provide you with support and information. They also offer a referral service for lesbians, gay men, bisexual and trans* people as well as anyone considering issues around their sexuality and/or gender identity. They provide a confidential, welcoming, supportive and non-judgemental service. Although London based, they provide support regardless of where you live. You can talk to Samaritans "any time you like, in your own way, and off the record – about whatever’s getting to you. You don’t have to be suicidal." They are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
