Wear Your Socks with Pride: Pantherella to partner with Trade

Friday, 19th June 2020

In honor of Trade’s 20th Anniversary as a charity, Pantherella, the sartorial British socks brand, is proud to partner with the local sexual health and health charity. Ten percent of all sales from its ‘Shine’ socks, due to launch in May, will be donated to the charity which provides free and confidential health advice, information, services, and support to the LGBT communities of Leicester.

Pantherella’s ‘Shine’ socks feature a signature rainbow design synonymous with the Pride movement. Part of the Sports Luxe range, the socks combine Pantherella’s signature quality design with a sporty, athleisure aesthetic. Knitted from the finest Egyptian Cotton with a touch of Lycra for a perfect fit, fashion and function go hand in hand. These unisex socks also incorporate a variety of special features such as a ventilated top, arch support and cushioned sole for all-day comfort.

Pantherella socks have been made in the same family-owned factory in Leicester, England since 1937. This longevity has allowed the brand to bring constant style, innovation, and quality to its ranges and this has been fortified in its new Sports Luxe range.

Andrew Townsin from Pantherella says: “We are proud to support ‘Trade’ in their quest to provide invaluable services and help for the LGBT community in Leicester and also to connect our local brands and create a positive impact in the community”.

Trade is a health and sexual health charity, providing free, confidential health advice, information, services and support for LGBT communities of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Trade aims to break down the barriers to health service access, reduce isolation, stigma and discrimination, and encourage or enable LGBT people from diverse backgrounds to share in the life of the whole community.

Salim Khalifa, Service Director of Trade Sexual Health commented “In our 20th year as a charity, we are really pleased to work in partnership with Panthrella to celebrate this milestone in the creation of the Pride socks. Working with a local brand has been a pleasure and we hope we can collaborate on more designs in the future. The funds raised from the sale of socks will continue to support the LGBT communities with much needed services such as talking therapies and outreach.”

Pantherella’s Shine Sock will be available to purchase from May 2020 at www.pantherella.com and will retail at selected department stores and Independants for £14.50.
