HIV Services & Support

There is a variety of social, support and advice services within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland focused around HIV.

Hi5 – for gay & bisexual men affected by HIV

The group is for gay and bi men who are either directly or indirectly affected by HIV. This includes men who are newly diagnosed and couples where one is HIV positive and one is negative.

Hi5 provides a safe social network, advice on wellbeing, employment and HIV specific issues, as well as somewhere fun and informative to share experiences with others.  The group also has a calendar of social events.

Trade Sexual Health

Trade works to promote the health and wellbeing of gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans* men and women.

  • You can talk to us confidentially about HIV, safer sex and sexual health.
  • You can pick up free condoms, lube, dental dams, and gloves.
  • Men can access our sauna based clinics for a for a full sexual health screen.
  • LGB&T men and women can get a HIV test via our office based Kwik Prick rapid HIV testing clinic.

You can also talk to us about anything affecting your life as a LGB&T man or woman, from coming out and relationships, to the reporting of homophobic abuse or bullying.

LASS

Leicestershire AIDS Support Services - LASS provide services for people who are living with or affected by HIV.  Support for people affected or infected are free, confidential and individually tailored in consultation with each service user to meet their specific needs. LASS aim to assist people in making the best choices for themselves, and to maximise their own potential.

Faith in people with HIV

Work with people of all religious faiths and with those who have no religious beliefs.

The service is open to anyone who is living with HIV or affected by it (e.g. partner, family, and carer) irrespective of background, culture, beliefs, ethnicity, sexuality, age or disability.
