We’re looking for fun outgoing individuals to take part in Trade's outreach programme! So, if you interested in helping shape and deliver health and HIV campaigns to the LGB&T community you may be the one we want!
Outreach events are generally organise for once a month, either within a community venue, club or bar. We'll give you all the training you need, so you just need to provide the personality!

Outreach is an important part of Trade’s work in delivering key messages to the local communities. If you enjoy chatting to people, getting creative with activities., don’t mind late nights or weekends, this could be a role for you. Working as a part of the team, you will gain skills in planning and deliver outreach sessions, budgeting, communication and teamwork.
Fundraising is a part of any charity. All funds raised go towards services and projects for LGB&T communities. As part of the fundraising team, you’ll be involved in event management and be engaging the communities. You’ll gain skills such as written and oral communication, motivating others and raising money to make a difference.
Trade promotes its own campaigns and events in a variety of ways reaching out to our diverse LGB&T communities. We are looking for a ‘computer geek’, social media aware and helping us to remain informed about current trends. This role will put your skills to the test within a professional setting whilst channelling creativity into personal success.
Building partnerships bring huge benefits to the communities we support. These include more im-proved services, increased reach and financial savings. We are looking for people who can communicate effectively with a wide range of people to help form and develop new partnerships. Within this role, you learn about working with professionals, presentation delivery and group work skills.
Trade runs a variety of services on a day to day basis from its busy town centre base. Help the Trade team with admin tasks, such as answering phone calls, dealing with public enquiries and providing support at events. You’ll gain office skills, IT literacy as well as meeting new people and getting a flavour of charity work.
Trade runs a regular rapid HIV testing service called Kwik Prick. This role comes into direct contact with Trade’s service users, potentially at a time when they are feeling particularly concerned or anxious. This role requires you to be sensitive, empathic, interested in gaining knowledge about safer-sex issues and have good interpersonal skills.
One of Trade’s ongoing services is Approach Counselling. In weekly sessions, our clients can explore their thoughts and feelings in a non– judgemental safe space. We are looking for trainees registered with a recognised body such as BACP who are interested in university/college placement with us. Alternatively, qualified professionals seeking accreditation and keen to join our dynamic team.
To ensure that the highest quality services are provided to our target groups Trade requires a dedicated board of trustees for guidance in the running of the organisation. We are looking for new board members who have skills in sales & marketing, finance, human resources, charity/company law, sexual health, information technology, public relations and education.
