Covid-19 Statement

CLINIC xtra

CLINIC xtra will be commencing from Friday 23rd October by appointment only. 

To book your appointment, please text your name to our nurse David on 07810 550360. He will then give you a call back within 24 hours (weekdays only) to book you in.

You must wear a face covering when entering into the building. Once you have sanitised your hands upon arrival in the Trade office, you will then me given a medical mask to wear for the duration of your appointment.

You will also be asked to scan our NHS Track and Trace QR code into the app. If you don’t have the app, a name and contact phone number will be taken down from you and kept with us for 21 days.

Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment. We may not be able to offer you a waiting area facility once you arrive.


Services that are still temporarily suspended are:

  • Face-to-face outreach services e.g. sauna outreach, PSE outreach

  • Face-to-face drop-in services e.g. Kwik Prick (at the Trade office or outreach sites in Coalville, Hinckley & Loughborough)/Approach counselling/information, advice & guidance 1-2-1 support

  • Drop-in events and groups e.g. Condom Packing Evenings/Dosti


Opening hours

Our opening hours have now returned to our usual times of Monday-Thursday 9:30am-5:30pm and Friday 10:00am-4:00pm. We still remain closed on weekends and public holidays.

Counselling

We will now be accepting new referrals for counselling, but only for those who feel comfortable having sessions either over the phone or on an online video call platform.

Kwik Prick - Rapid HIV Testing

The Trade office still remains closed, so we will not have the capacity to deliver rapid HIV testing.

You can order a free HIV postal kit online where you will be able to test for HIV at home. Click here to order.

If you required some support whilst doing this test yourself at home, you can use the online 1-2-1 service as listed below.

1-2-1 information, advice & guidance

Support can be provided virtually using the contact details above.

We will be offering a drop-in service via Zoom for people wanting to talk to somebody or to get some support with collecting blood samples for HIV and STI postal kits.

These sessions will now take place every Monday 12:00-2:00pm (excluding Public Holidays). Click here to access.

Safer sex pack postal service

We are still accepting orders for safer sex packs from gay and bisexual men, and other men who have sex with men, living across Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland. Please allow at least 5 working days for your order to be delivered.

STI testing - Leicester Sexual Health

Leicester Sexual Health are advising people who want to access a full sexual health screening to do so via their online STI postal testing kits. Click here to order.

If you required some support whilst doing this test yourself at home, you can use the online 1-2-1 service as listed above.

There will be no drop-in services available at either Haymarket Health and Loughborough Health Centre, as well as no outreach clinics running, which include sauna clinics, CLINIC xtra and Choices clinics.

If you are displaying symptoms of any sexually transmitted infections, you are advised to call the Haymarket Health clinic on 0300 124 0102 for an over-the-phone consultation during the usual opening hours.
