Update: Covid-19 Statement

Updated: Tuesday 5th May 2020 at 13:30

Due to the current situation with Covid-19, Trade will be reviewing its services.

Effective immediately, services that will be temporarily suspended are:

  • Face-to-face outreach services e.g. sauna outreach
  • Face-to-face drop-in services e.g. Kwik Prick/Approach counselling/IAG 1-2-1 support
  • Drop-in events and groups e.g. Condom Packing Evenings/Dosti/High Five
  • Outreach clinics run by Leicester Sexual Health e.g. sauna clinics/CLINIC xtra

During this time, our opening hours will be reduced to Monday-Friday 10:00am-4:00pm.

The office will be closed but the team can still be contacted by emailing or by calling us on 0116 254 1747.

In addition, we will be temporarily accepting free safer sex pack postal service orders from all gay & bisexual men, and other men who have sex with men, living and working across Leicester City, in addition to Leicestershire County and Rutland County.

Leicester Sexual Health are advising people who want to access a full sexual health screening to do so via their online STI postal testing kits. There will be no drop-in services available at either Haymarket Health and Loughborough Health Centre. If you are displaying symptoms of any sexually transmitted infections, you are advised to call the Haymarket Health clinic on 0300 124 0102.

HIV Prevention England are also offering free HIV postal testing kits.

We will be offering a drop-in service via Zoom for people wanting to talk to somebody or to get some support with collecting blood samples for HIV and STI postal kits. These sessions will take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 12:00-2:00pm (excluding Public Holidays). Click here to access.

We are also now accepting new referrals for counselling, but only for people who are comfortable having sessions either over the phone or via an online video call platfom. Click here for more information.

We apologise for any inconvenience during this time. The care for our clients is paramount and we want to ensure that services are not disrupted for too long.

Click "Read more" for further details.
