LGB&T Clinic

Tuesday, 2nd February 2016

At the end of 2015 Trade has opened full sexual health screening at their office for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans communities in partnership with Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Sexual Health Services.

The aim of the service is to allow lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people to access all the screening expected from a local NHS sexual health clinic in an informal setting in Leicester city centre. The screening involves giving a urine sample and swab tests from the throat and rectum to test for chlamydia and gonorrhoea. We also offer blood testing for syphilis, HIV, Hep B.

The clinic is in a private room on site to ensure confidentiality. All information is kept strictly confidential, and clients can discuss the way they would like to be notified about the results.

The weekly clinics are targeted to all members of LGB&T communities and we particularly welcome lesbian and trans communities who may appreciate professional, informed and supportive atmosphere at Trade. While waiting in the drop in area, clients can catch up on latest news, find out about Trade services, or talk to Trade worker available on site. Safer sex packs varieties are also available and free to take away.

We are in the process of collating suitable promotional materials and giving the clinic its name, so please check the website for further announcements as well as survey opportunities.

We will also post here information about any occurring clinic closures.
