Trade WINS local 2010 GEM award
NHS Leicester City and Leicester City Community Health Service's staff awarded GEM Awards to individuals or teams who had made exceptional difference to or a loved one's health, or to improve the health of a local community.
Trade was nominated for The Better Together Award for the Voluntary Sector category along with five other agencies. We were awarded the GEM award for our sauna based clinic demonstrating improvements to health services for the gay community and demonstrating how we work collaboratively with commissioning services and other organisations.
Trade is very proud to receive this award and were pleased to accept it alongside our partners at UHL GUM clinic, and Celts Sauna. It's great for a very small LGB organisation like Trade to be acknowledged by the NHS and for us to be able to show that although we are a small agency, working collaboratively, the outcomes of our work are much bigger and far reaching.
Thanks again to University Hospitals Leicester - Sexual Health Services and Celts Sauna for all their hard work and our local PCT commissioner Liz Rodrigo for nominating and championing us for this award.
